According to The Telegraph, Liverpool are not too fussed about rushing through a contract extension for Emre Can.
It’s a story that has bubbled under the surface for some time this season and it looks as though it will continue into next year – the last one on his current contract.
Indeed, the Reds seem unworried by the fact he could leave for free in the summer of 2018 with Jurgen Klopp apparently confident that the midfielder will sign in the end.
And, as well as that, there is the suggestion that Can is playing his best football at the club at the moment despite the situation so why should they need to rush?
It looks like this one, then, is rather a slow-burner.
