Barcelona set to activate Deulofeu buy-back clause

According to The Telegraph, Barcelona are set to re-sign winger Gerard Deulofeu after spending 4 years away from the Nou Camp.

The Spanish winger, who came through the notorious La Masia academy, has failed to impress under new Everton boss Ronald Koeman and spent the second half of the 2016/17 season on loan at AC Milan.

Signed by Everton on a permanent basis in July 2015, Barcelona implemented a £10.5m buy-back clause which they are set to activate bringing the 23-year-old back to his homeland. Despite Deulofeu’s talent, he has struggled for consistency and Everton will be happy to see him leave following the arrival of Jordan Pickford and Davy Klaassen from Sunderland and Ajax respectively.
