Chelsea’s best 4 stars for 2017/18

Whisper it quietly, but the new Premier League season is not that far away now and, before you know it, we’ll but wondering just exactly what it’s like to not have football about…

Indeed, it isn’t long until we delve into another season of club football and so, as is customary at this time of year, it’s time to wheel out some season preview material.

Here at Rush Football, then, we’re taking a look at each Premier League club’s best four stars for the coming campaign and next up is champions Chelsea.

See if you agree with our selections…

Eden Hazard

hazard

Hazard was one of the players of the season and so it only makes sense to imagine that he’s going to be key in Chelsea’s quest for a title defence this year.

He turns up in the big games with big goals and gives defenders nightmares with the way he twists and turns, leaving many to think he’s one of the best in the league.

He’s coming into his prime now, too, and that should mean he’s even more formidable than before – a hugely frightening thought.

Thibaut Courtois

Courtois is one of the best goalkeepers in the league and if Chelsea are to retain their crown he will be once again crucial.

For sure, the big Belgian stopper has been the interest of other clubs but he’s likely going to stay put at Stamford Bridge with him an integral part of one of the best back-lines in the division at the moment.

David Luiz

luiz

Ridicule and laughter welcomed Chelsea’s announcement that they’d re-signed the frizzy haired defender but he and they certainly had the last laugh.

Clearly, the Brazilian has put his erratic displays behind him as he quickly established himself as a key part of the defence under Conte.

He combines a strong ability to play the ball from the back with a seriously improved reading of the game and that makes him Chelsea’s best centre-half.

N’golo Kante

kante

Kante quickly proved that his season for Leicester City was no fluke as he motored about the pitch at Stamford Bridge.

Indeed, his importance to the title win last season cannot be underestimated and it’s because of his displays that similar type players are becoming the vogue.

He’s bound to play next season but it remains to be seen just who he’ll be combined with in midfield.

Whoever it is, though, they’ve probably got one of the easiest jobs in world football.

What do you reckon? Let us know!
