Newcastle’s best 4 stars for 2017/18

Whisper it quietly, but the new Premier League season is not that far away now and, before you know it, we’ll but wondering just exactly what it’s like to not have football about…

Indeed, it isn’t long until we delve into another season of club football and so, as is customary at this time of year, it’s time to wheel out some season preview material.

Here at Rush Football, then, we’re taking a look at each Premier League club’s best four stars for the coming campaign and next up it’s Newcastle.

See if you agree with our selections…

Dwight Gayle

Dwight Gayle Goal Celebration Finger To Lips Close Up

Gayle was Newcastle’s goal-scoring threat last season and so must make this list.

There is still question marks over his ability at this level, though, so he’ll be eager to hit the ground running in 2017/18.

Matt Ritchie

Matt Ritchie Goal Celebration Arms In Air

Ritchie took the surprising step to leave Bournemouth for Newcastle last summer but it has all paid off now.

He’s a great goal-scorer from out wide and could be one to watch as the club looks to take a few scalps.

Ciaran Clark

Clark signed from Aston Villa and has become a key centre-half for the Magpies.

He’s got the talent to perform at this level, for sure, and will now be eager to show that he can lead a side at the back alongside Jamaal Lascelles.

Ayoze Perez

Perez has got magic in his boots, he just needs to highlight it more this season coming for the Magpies.

He’s still young though, to be fair, but with the club aiming for survival he can’t hide behind that for too long in 2017/18.
