Diego Costa looks set to dig his heels in at Chelsea as the Blues are on the brink of a genuine transfer saga…

 

Clearly, there’s been a break down in communications between Antonio Conte and the striker with the Italian telling him he’s free to leave the club in the summer.

Costa, though, seemingly doesn’t want to and according to The Daily Star, he’s wanting to stay put unless a deal with former club Atletico Madrid can be agreed.

That, of course, would see the Spaniard stay at least until the January of next year thanks to Atleti’s transfer ban and so Conte had better at least keep Costa appeased until then with the ghost of the 2015/16 season potentially starting to manifest.
