A full Premier League fixture list is back this weekend after a depleted round of games last time out thanks to the FA Cup.

And, with international football on the horizon, this is the last weekend for a little while *sniff* *sniff.*

Anyway, enough crying, unless you’re a Middlesbrough fan because things could only get worse, it’s time to look at Rush Football’s 3 players to watch this weekend…

1. Emre Can

No, this isn’t a typo.

Can, of course, is not the most exhilarating footballer at Anfield, let alone in the league, but how he performs could decide the biggest game of the weekend.

Liverpool travel to Manchester City on Sunday without skipper Jordan Henderson and so Can will be in the holding role.

He won the game against Burnley last time out with a fine strike but also showcased the poor side of his game and so it remains to be seen which player turns up at the Etihad.

If it’s the marauding form who gets about the pitch, cutting David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne out of the game and bursting forward, the Reds could be quids in.

If the sloppy, lacklustre version rocks up, though, City could just seal a rather convincing victory.

2. Romelu Lukaku

Obviously.

It’s been a very hectic week for Romelu Lukaku with plenty of people discussing just where he’s going to go at the end of the season.

He’ll be keen to show he’s good enough for the Champions League against Hull here, then, but the Goodison Park faithful are also going to be interesting to watch.

If he scores, we’re sure they’ll love him but if he starts skulking about and the Tigers perform well, the atmosphere could get toxic.

3. Vincent Janssen

Spurs are on red alert with Harry Kane out of action but with his Dutch understudy finally getting his first goal in open play last weekend, need they worry?

The frank answer is yes, they really had, with the England international their obvious main goal-scoring threat.

Tottenham, however, will be keen to prove that they’re far more than just Kane and the likes of Janssen will surely be at his most confident point of the season.

Time for the Dutchman to at last come good? We’ll find out on Sunday…
