With numerous unconfirmed rumours, signings left, right and centre, and world class players stealing the limelight, it is difficult to keep track of everything going on during the summer transfer window.

Therefore, here at Rush Football we’ve decided to take a look at a few transfers you might have missed – free of charge too, not a bad service, eh?

Mathew Ryan

Valencia CF to Brighton & Hove Albion

Despite Brighton’s promotion to the Premier League, first choice goalkeeper David Stockdale revealed he was going to turn down a new contract, opting to join Championship side Birmingham City instead. The Seagulls didn’t hang around, bringing in Valencia’s goalkeeper Mathew Ryan for an undisclosed club-record fee shortly after. The Australian international joined Valencia from Club Brugge in 2015 but only went on to make 10 league appearances for the club before joining Belgian club Genk on loan. The 25-year-old stopper, who has 34 national team caps, will join Chris Hughton’s side on 1 July.

Darren Fletcher

West Bromwich Albion to Stoke City

Upon hearing news that Darren Fletcher was going to turn down a new contract at West Brom, Stoke City boss Mark Hughes acted quickly snapping up the 33-year-old on a 2 year-deal. Having spent over 2 years at the Hawthorns, making just under 100 appearances, the former Manchester United player was quoted saying it was the right time to move on to take on a new challenge. The move to the Bet365 Stadium will see him link up with former Baggies teammate, Saido Berahino who joined the Staffordshire club for £12m in January 2017.

Harry Maguire

Hull City to Leicester City

Leicester City announced the signing of Hull’s Harry Maguire on 15 June, the same day as Everton announced the signing of Sunderland’s Jordan Pickford and Ajax player Davy Klaassan, making this transfer an easy one to miss. Despite The Tigers’ relegation to the second tier, it was the centre-back’s excellent form under Marco Silva which made him a transfer target for a number of clubs, including Tottenham and Newcastle. Maguire, 24, has joined Leicester for an initial fee of £12m, which could rise to £17m with add-ons.
