The 2017/18 Premier League is drawing to a close and one team have performed head and shoulders above the rest. Despite securing the title with a 5-0 demolition of Swansea at the weekend, Pep Guardiola has urged his Manchester City squad to strive for greatness. Going into their final four matches, the Blue side of Manchester are looking to sign off their season by breaking a number of Premier League records including…

Most Premier League Goals [103]

The record for most the Premier League goals in a season is currently held by Chelsea, who scored 103 goals during their 2009/10 title winning campaign. A season in which Didier Drogba claimed the Golden Boot, scoring 29 times in just 32 appearances. In their final four matches, Pep Guardiola’s side need just six goals to break the record and standing in their way are West Ham United (A), Huddersfield (H), Brighton (H) and Southampton (A).

Most Premier League Points [95]

The 2004/05 Premier League season was one to remember for Chelsea. They won the Premier League for the first time collecting 95 points in the process, losing just once. With four games remaining, Manchester City need just two wins to break this long-standing record.

Most Premier League Wins [30]

Another Premier League record held by Chelsea, this time during the 2016/17 season. For the Citizens to make this record their own, they would need to win just two of their remaining four matches.

Most Premier League Away Wins [15]

During the 2004/05 Premier League season, Chelsea won 15 of 19 away matches. For Manchester City to topple another Chelsea record, they would need to win both of their remaining away matches.

Greatest Premier League Points Margin [18]

The biggest title-winning margin came in the 1999/00 season, a season in which Manchester United finished 18 points ahead of second placed Arsenal. At present, Manchester City have a 16 point lead over rivals Manchester United.
