Manchester City star Sergio Aguero has revealed that he’s undergone keyhole surgery on his knee as the season approaches its final games.
City have nothing left to play for now with them wrapping up the Premier League at the weekend.
Certainly, they’ll be looking to finish strongly but they don’t need the likes of the Argentine fit and he’ll now be focusing on getting fit for the World Cup.
He said on Twitter:
Recuperándome de una artroscopia en la rodilla. Y con toda la fuerza para volver pronto y mejor a las canchas 💪//Recovering from an arthroscopy on my knee. Fully motivated to get back soon to the field 💪

Aguero could be a key part of the Argentina squad at the summer tournament in Russia as they look to go one further than in 2014.
They do have the likes of Lionel Messi, Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala among their squad as attacking options but having Aguero fit would be a plus.
There’s no reason why he shouldn’t be, too, with this operation coming a good few weeks before things get under way in Eastern Europe in June.
