The Sky Bet Championship play-off race is looking as fierce as ever and calling the four sides to make it in is going to be tough.

Certainly, fifth and sixth place, in particular, look open and the likes of Aston Villa will be hoping that they can occupy one of those spots at the end of the campaign.

With Jack Grealish back in the side and excelling, too, there is no reason why they shouldn’t be confident about that and, indeed, not only that.

The Mirror has suggested that West Ham and Tottenham could be keen on the midfielder in the summer window but Villa should not worry too much.

Grealish has shown this season, perhaps more than ever, that he is determined to get his beloved club back into the Premier League.

Certainly, he is aware of the legendary status that could await him if he gets back into the top flight with the Villans – something neither Spurs or West Ham can offer him.

Perhaps, if Villa were struggling now he’d be more open to a move but, given that next season they should challenge again if they are not promoted this year, he’s probably seen enough to stick around for now.

You can never be relaxed when trying to hold onto a player of his calibre, but this summer Villa should feel that their main man will remain that for 2019/20.
