Aston Villa will be eager to add to their side where possible this summer as they prepare for life back in the Premier League.
The Villans have been very good in recent months on the pitch with them earning promotion at Wembley at the end of last month.
Now, though, business away from the green stuff needs to take centre-stage and they are being linked with several names.
According to the Sun, too, they are looking at Southampton full-back Matt Targett.
The defender is yet to really force his way into the Saints’ set-up thanks to Ryan Bertrand’s continued presence there.
He has impressed when he has featured, though, and also did a good job for Fulham when they were promoted from the Championship in the 2017/18 season.
He could be a decent signing, then, with him apparently valued at £10m which is no big fee for a club that’s just won arguably the richest game in football.
