Quoted by Football London, former Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has claimed that Christian Norgaard is as good as former teammate Kalvin Phillips.
Brentford are heading for the play-off final tomorrow night at Wembley Stadium and face west London rivals Fulham.
Indeed, it’s a game that could go either way tomorrow night and it should be good fun watching it play out.
Jansson is expected to start, then, whilst Norgaard could also feature in midfield with the defender saying he is up there ability-wise with Phillips who was widely seen as one of the best midfielders in the Championship this year.
The Swede said:
“People who watch this league don’t understand how good Christian is.
“Kalvin Phillips, yes, he is one of the best players in the league but Christian is if not as good then just behind him.”
Phillips had an excellent campaign in the middle of the park for United and has helped them get promoted to the Premier League.
Norgaard will be hoping to do the same, then, as Brentford take on Fulham tomorrow night at the national stadium with promotion on the table.
