Steve Bruce has been speaking to the press today as he unveiled Callum Wilson, Jamal Lewis and Ryan Fraser and looked ahead to their clash with West Ham United.
The Magpies have been impressive in recent days in the window in getting the trio in and fans will now be that bit more excited for the new season after the summer threatened to once again frustrate.
It appears that Wilson and Lewis are in contention to feature at the weekend, too, though it might come a little too soon for Fraser who left Bournemouth before last season ended.
Meanwhile, Martin Dubravka isn’t far away and Jonjo Shelvey and Matt Ritchie are back fit after slight issues.
Craig Hope shared the full details on Twitter:
Sounds like better news on Martin Dubravka – Bruce expects goalkeeper back in around four weeks. Dummett/Clark still recovering from previous injuries. Shelvey/Ritchie okay after minor problems. New signings Wilson/Lewis ready to go but Fraser still getting up to speed #nufc

The Magpies will be hoping for a swift start against the Hammers this weekend as the Premier League returns a little over a month after it all ended earlier this summer.
