There remains considerable concern over the fitness of left-back Borna Barisic for Rangers ahead of the first Old Firm clash of the season against Celtic this weekend.
After a knock against Ross County, there had been a hope that he’d be able to recover in time for the resumption of the game in Scotland with the two Glasgow giants ready for their latest battle this weekend.
However, he has not featured for Croatia during the international break as per the Scotsman and the Gers are not yet sure whether he is going to be ready for the weekend.
Croatia have one more game in this international break as they take on France on Wednesday and Rangers will then be able to get Barisic back and assess him.
He’s become the Gers’ main left-back and would obviously be a miss if he was ruled out for this one so the next few days will be crucial in his recovery.
