Mamadou Sakho’s future has been up in the air for well over a year now and it seems to be staying that way…

The Liverpool defender has been out of favour at Anfield ever since he fell out with Jurgen Klopp last summer.

Indeed, since then he’s not featured for the Reds and was out on loan for the second half of last season with Crystal Palace.

With the Eagles, of course, he widely impressed and the club is clearly interested in doing a deal but so far they are falling short.

Indeed, that is per BBC Sport, who say that a bid worth £25 million has been rejected by the Reds who want at least £30 million.

It’s back to the drawing board for Palace, then, as they aim to try and get out of this early season rut as soon as possible.

Thoughts, Liverpool and Palace fans? Let us know!
