EFL on Quest pundit Sam Parkin was full of praise for Accrington Stanley star Colby Bishop as he helped his side to a fine win over Charlton Athletic on Friday night.

The Addicks would have been hoping to get back to winning ways back at The Valley against a Stanley side that has really impressed this season and looks set to challenge for the play-offs.

Indeed, they put out a real statement on Friday night with a 2-0 win in south-east London with Bishop the star of the show.

Certainly, his performance won praise from Parkin who enthused over his display on EFL on Quest on Saturday night.

Parkin said:

“I love his endeavour his aggression, he shows great desire to get there and the second goal is delicious, the awareness to make the dummy and then cushion it into the corner is lovely.”

“I’m really impressed with John Coleman’s men and they could go really close this year and what a story that would be.”

Rush Football’s take

Accrington really are impressing at the moment in League One and have to be considered play-off contenders.

They’re sixth in the league after that win over the Addicks and have games in hand on all of the sides above them – with four extra to be played compared to league leaders Lincoln.

John Coleman and his team are doing a fine job once again and you cannot count them out of the play-off race this season.
