According to the Liverpool Echo, Mason Holgate is a player that Marco Silva is a fan of and the club want to keep a hold of him.
The Toffees have had an okay season this year but would have liked to been nearer the top six at this stage in the campaign.
Even so, they can still finish best of the rest by overhauling the likes of Watford, Wolves and West Ham in the coming weeks.
As well as that, though, they’ll be planning this summer’s work and it seems as though not selling Holgate is a part of that.
He’s done well on loan at West Brom in recent weeks after joining in January and it might have been thought that a permanent move to the Baggies could materialise.
Everton want him at their club, though, and you can see why with the considerable talent he possesses as a defender who is still very young.
