The international break is now over and as club football returns, here are our tips for your Fantasy Premier League team…

Best Buy: Benjamin Mendy

The left back was dropped for three weeks preceding the Liverpool match in Gameweek 8, during which he helped The Citizens to their fifth clean sheet of the season. This meant many people removed him from their team. Mendy though, is the second highest scoring defender regarding points per game and the game against Burnley gives him an opportunity to better that position. Burnley have conceded more shots than any other team in the league and Mendy will relish roaming up and down the wing.

Injured: Liverpool Wingers

Both Mane and Salah were injured away on international duty. Mane picked up a hand injury but underwent a successful operation and is in contention for the game against Huddersfield. Salah suffered a muscle strain late on in the game for Egypt and was withdrawn. He too is being monitored ahead of the Huddersfield game and could play. Having both in your starting XI could prove a risky strategy and we’d advise taking at least one out.

Value for Money: DeAndre Yedlin

Picking a defender who plays for a team with only two clean sheets (two 0-0 draws) could be a little risky. Over the next two weeks Newcastle are down on the South Coast playing Brighton and Southampton, two of the lowest scoring teams in the league. Yedlin likes to roam up the wing with exhilarating pace when possible, meaning he could additionally grab a cheeky assist. Parting with just £4.5 million would land you Yedlin, not bad for someone who has already picked up a respectable 28 points.

Form Player: Eden Hazard

Everyone says not to chase points on the FPL but how can you ignore Hazard’s current form. He has returned from international duty injury free and his seven goals in the previous eight games make him a must-have right now. Not only that but he is also playing in a Chelsea team that looks the best it has since they last won the title. The game against Manchester United could prove a tough test (depending on which version of the Red Devils turn up) but we reckon he will put them to the sword.
