Angel Rangel is continuing his long journey back from ACL surgery and has offered insight into how QPR are helping him along with the process.

The player is currently not under contract with any side but has stayed around QPR with the club offering to help him with his rehab from a frankly horrible injury.

Indeed, he has a long way to go and it remains to be seen what he does with his career once he is fully recovered but you’ve got to give credit to the Hoops for staying by the defender even if he isn’t technically their employee anymore.

In an interview with the Hoops’ official website, he said:

“The main thing for me is that I’m still in the footballing environment and that’s why I’m glad that I’m doing my rehab at QPR.

“They are constantly helping me. Not just with my rehab but also supporting me mentally through the tough moments.

“Even the manager is calling me regularly to see how I am. We see each other every day. The manager is also injured. He had an operation on his knee so we have a bit of banter between us to see who recovers quicker!”

Rangel was a club favourite during his time at the club with him providing experience and reliability at the back.

The injury he received was not nice and he still has a while to go in his recovery but QPR are doing all they can to help him along so fair play to them.
