Odsonne Edouard is still struggling for fitness despite joining up with France U21s for international duty, as per L’Equipe.
The Celtic striker has missed the Hoops’ last two games thanks to injury and could miss the young French side’s clash with Georgia thanks to a thigh issue.
The report claims that they are taking it slowly and carefully with Edouard but, for Celtic fans, it is news that they won’t want to hear.
In an ideal world, Edouard would have stayed in Glasgow and worked on recovery after missing games against Ferencvaros and Motherwell for the Hoops.
Instead, he’s flown to link up with his international team-mates and Bhoys fans will just hope that he is treated with kid gloves right now.
Celtic are currently six points off of Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership but have two games in hand and they will be hoping, though the transfer window is still open, that Edouard will play his part in them overtaking the Gers.
