Manchester City get their season underway on Monday night as they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Citizens will be eager to beat Liverpool to the Premier League crown this season after the Reds took their title last year and it all begins with a tricky test against a Wolves side that will be hoping to challenge for European football this campaign.

City will have to do it without Sergio Aguero this weekend, though, with Pep Guardiola revealing that the attacker hasn’t even trained with the players as he recovers from his injury.

Guardiola said, as quoted by The Mirror:

“No, still he hasn’t had one training session with us.”

Aguero has been missing for a while for City so the sooner they can get him back the better for obvious reasons, given the class and quality he brings to the side.

Gabriel Jesus is no mug, of course, and will be eager to show that he can carry the mantle up top against the men from Molineux.
