West Ham will be looking to channel their Monday night performance this weekend as they take on Southampton in the Premier League.
Of course, they eventually lost to Liverpool at Anfield but were 2-1 up and looking as though they could spring a surprise and ruin the league leaders’ current run of form.
That’s not what happened, however, and now fans will be urging their side to pick up from where they left off as that performance level should see them earn a result against the Saints.
One man set to be out for this one, and the next few weeks, though, is Ryan Fredericks with the club reporting that he has undergone successful shoulder surgery and will now be in recovery for about six weeks.
A blow, then, given the flying nature of the full-back but Jeremy Ngakia showed he could be a fine stand-in if needed after his performance against Liverpool whilst Pablo Zabaleta is also an option.
