Fernando Llorente has spoken of his desire to return to La Liga at some point in his career and it’s surely unlikely Tottenham are going to stand in his way.
The Spanish striker has had a distinguished career to be fair to him.
He’s played for the likes of Athletic Bilbao and Juventus as well as the Spanish national team and has often scored goals and provided a fine presence up top.
However, at Tottenham he has had to play second fiddle to Harry Kane and he has struggled to nail any kind of place down – often featuring for only a few minutes.
That, then, would probably be why Spurs are surely unlikely to stand in his way if and when he wants to move back to his native Spain.
As quoted by the FourFourTwo, he said:
“I’ve been away from home for many years, I’d love to go back to La Liga.”
He’s still got some years left but not many and so, potentially, he’ll be looking at moving away from the club sooner rather than later.
