Jose Mourinho has revealed it will be a couple of weeks until Giovani Lo Celso is back playing for Tottenham.

The Lilywhites take on Fulham tomorrow evening in the Premier League and will be looking to build on their fine win over Burnley at the weekend.

Lo Celso will not be a part of things, though, as, despite returning to training, he is not yet match fit.

Indeed, speaking to the press earlier on today ahead of their clash with Fulham, Mourinho revealed the latest on the midfielder.

He said, via Football.London:

“Training with the team but a big injury. We’re not going to risk yet. In fact, we don’t want to risk, we’ll bring him to the team when he is ok. Maybe one or two more weeks. Everybody else ok.”

Rush Football’s take

Lo Celso obviously brings that extra bit of class on the ball to the Spurs midfield and so having him back will be a bonus.

Tottenham were impressive at the weekend against Burnley with Gareth Bale getting a chance to show his improvement fitness-wise.

Indeed, it was a good afternoon’s work all round and we’ll have to see if they can build on that now against Fulham.

Lo Celso, though, will be watching on for a little longer yet.
