According to Antonio Conte, Chelsea will not discuss a new deal for John Terry until the end of the season.

The legendary central defender has seen playing time very limited this season – coinciding with the Blues’ move to 3-4-3.

Instead he has had to sit on the bench and watch the likes of David Luiz and Gary Cahill start in front of him as the Blues close in on the Premier League title.

Speculation over the skipper’s future is bound to occur, then, but Conte has moved to suggest that nothing will be in concrete until the end of the campaign.

The former Juventus boss said via The Mirror:

“I don’t know about this, I prefer every situation to face at the end of the season when it will be the right time.”

It remains to be seen what happens, then, as Chelsea prepare to face Manchester United in the FA Cup on Monday night.
