Jurgen Klopp has not ruled out Jordan Henderson, Xherdan Shaqiri and Kostas Tsimikas from being involved for Liverpool against Leeds United this weekend as the Premier League makes its return.
In many ways, this new season hasn’t exactly been long-awaited given the quick turnaround we have seen and the late finish of 2019/20 but, for Leeds fans, it has been in the sense it’s going to end a 16-year stay away from the top-flight.
They travel to face the champions in their first weekend, too, and Jurgen Klopp will be looking to name as strong a side as possible in order to get the Reds’ title defence off to a flying start.
He could be able to call upon the aforementioned trio, too, with them back in training this week:
Klopp on Henderson, Shaqiri and Tsimikas being involved: Not decided yet. They are in training.

Henderson, of course, would be the biggest miss given the leadership and drive he brings to the middle of the park but, at least for Reds fans, it’s good to hear he is back in training even if he does miss this week.
