Leeds United defender Luke Ayling has been impressed with what he has seen from Raphinha since his arrival at the club earlier in the transfer window.

The Whites have had a solid start to the new Premier League season with two wins, a draw and a loss from their first four games which, considering they’ve faced last season’s top two, isn’t a bad start at all.

They’ll be looking to build on that now, then, with Wolves up next and it remains to be seen if Raphinha is going to play a part on Monday night.

By the sounds of it, though, he has been doing well in training and Whites fans will be excited reading Luke Ayling’s insight on the matter.

The full-back told BBC Radio Leeds, via the Yorkshire Evening Post:

“He’s sharp, he’s very sharp.

“He’s scored a few good goals already in training and he’s set up a few.

“We did a murderball and I was playing against him and he had some very good touches, very quick, very sharp and so it looks like we have got a good player on our hands.”

Leeds’ murderball sessions have earned notoriety and so if a new signing is handling them and doing well, that is surely a good sign early on.
