Liverpool will be looking to push on from their Champions League win at the weekend and start getting in players so that they can challenge for the league.

Beating Manchester City to the title will surely be the focus next season for the Reds and therefore they are going to try and sign the best in Europe.

According to French outlet L’Equipe, then, the Reds are ready to get themselves into the market and offer a cool €80m for Nicolas Pepe.

The attacker is one of the most highly-rated players in France at the moment and is being targeted by several big clubs around the continent.

As champions of Europe, though, the Reds will feel as though they can get him in – even though it would be quite the outlay.

Owner John W. Henry has said he is ready to spend this summer, however, so let’s see if this is where they start.
