Adam Lallana has dealt Liverpool an injury blow by pulling up in England training today.
The midfielder has not played much football of late and suffered an injury hit campaign last season.
He played little part in the Reds’ surge to the Champions League final whilst he also missed out on the World Cup in the summer.
He had been picked to challenge for a place in the Nations League side for England later this week, though, but it looks unlikely he’ll play now.
Of course, it remains to be seen how lengthy he is out for but given his recent record it could be a real blow to the Reds.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is out for most of this season already and so to lose another midfielder this early on is something they’d rather avoid.
Time will only tell how long he is going to be missing for.
