Whisper it quietly, but the new Premier League season is not that far away now and, before you know it, we’ll but wondering just exactly what it’s like to not have football about…

Indeed, it isn’t long until we delve into another season of club football and so, as is customary at this time of year, it’s time to wheel out some season preview material.

Here at Rush Football, then, we’re taking a look at each Premier League club’s best four stars for the coming campaign and next up it’s Pep’s Manchester City.
See if you agree with our selections…

Sergio Aguero

aguero

Gabriel Jesus may look like he’s going to be a real star but he still doesn’t come close to the world class Aguero.

Pace, power and lethal finishing makes him the best striker in the league when fully fit and City would be stupid to let him go.

If he stays injury free all season the men from the Etihad are going to take some stopping because this guy can get 30 goals no sweat in a campaign.

Kevin de Bruyne

de bruyne

De Bruyne is becoming a real force in the Premier League and is a genuine big game player.

He always delivers when needed and his quality with the ball at his feet is up there with the best in the world.

He could perhaps add a few more goals to his game but that is the only criticism because technique wise he is world class and another top season from him could lead City to the Premier League title.

David Silva

De Bruyne, of course, has had some pretty decent teachers to learn off at the club and they don’t come much better than Silva.

The Spanish magician could nutmeg a mermaid with the way he coaxes passes and dribbles with the ball and, despite his slight frame, he’s more than a match for any opposing player in the league.

His speed of thought in tight situations is superlative and any team in the world would be lucky to have him in their side.

Vincent Kompany

kompany

The powerful Belgian is still one of the best defenders in the league and as soon as he was fit last season he proved just that for City.

The club struggled defensively without him in it and still look so much more solid when he is barking instructions at the back.

A mountain of a man, Kompany combines intelligence with brute strength and that makes him arguably the most important player at the club despite City’s vast attacking wealth.

Have we missed anyone? Let us know!
