Joe Hart – Burnley F.C.

England international Joe Hart fell out of favour upon the arrival of Pep Guardiola. He enjoyed a loan spell with Torino in Italy before returning to England on loan with West Ham United. He joined Burnley on a permanent deal in August for a fee in the region of £3.5M.

Pablo Zabaleta – West Ham United F.C.

The Argentinian defender received his marching orders on that dismal day for picking up two yellow cards. The now 33-year old was released by City at the end of the 2016/17 campaign, joining West Ham United shortly after where he remains to this day.

Vincent Kompany – Manchester City F.C

The 6’3” commanding centre back captained the Sky Blues in the 2012/13 FA Cup Final. He remains at City, however, in recent seasons he has been hit by numerous injuries which have kept him side-lined.

Matija Nastasić – FC Schalke 04

In January 2015, Serbian Matija Nastasić left the club in search of first team football and in March 2015 he joined Schalke 04 on a permanent basis following a short loan spell. Since joining the German side he has featured over 80 times.

Gaël Clichy – İstanbul Başakşehir F.K.

Former French international Gaël Clichy spent four more years in Manchester after the FA Cup defeat. During this time he lifted the Premier League title in 2014 as well as clinching the League Cup in 2016. He left City in July 2017, opting to move overseas to play for İstanbul Başakşehir F.K. in Turkey.

David Silva – Manchester City F.C.

The creative playmaker continues to ply his trade at the Etihad, he has amassed over 350 appearances since joining the club in 2010.



Yaya Touré – Olympiacos F.C.

Ivorian Yaya Touré went onto make a further 131 Premier League appearances for the Citizens, helping the club win the Premier League in 2014 and 2018. He announced that he was re-joining Greek club Olympiacos F.C. in September 2018.

Gareth Barry – West Bromwich Albion F.C.

At the start of the following season Barry opted to joined Everton on loan, making the switch permanent in July 2014. Following his short spell at Goodison Park, he joined West Bromwich Albion where he continues to play.

Samir Nasri – Unattached/Banned

In February 2018, the Frenchman was given a six-month-doping ban for breaching World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) rules. In August 2018, this ban was increased by a further twelve months. Prior to this he was a free agent having just left Turkish side Antalyaspor.

Sergio Agüero – Manchester City F.C.

Since suffering disappointment in the FA Cup Final in 2013, Sergio Agüero has gone onto become Manchester City’s all-time leading goal scorer. The 30-year-old has scored 204 goals in all competitions for the club. His current contract expires in 2020.

Carlos Tevez – Boca Juniors

The third Argentinian in the starting line-up for City that day. Since departing City in June 2013, he has played in Italy for Juventus as well as Shanghai Shenhua in China. He currently plays for Boca Juniors in his native homeland.
