Quoted by RMC, Patrick Vieira has admitted that he would be open to the Arsenal job in the future if it was offered to him.

The former Arsenal captain proved himself to be one of the greats of the Premier League during his time in England, battling the likes of Roy Keane in the early years of the Millenium.

Indeed, he’s rightly seen as an Arsenal hero and it would take a lot for that to change that any time soon.

Currently Nice manager, the former France international has been in the dugout for some time – with a spell in the United States also on his CV already.

He’ll be wanting to reach the levels in that role as he did as a player, though, and it seems as though that is the plan.

When asked if he’d like the Arsenal job, he said:

“Yes, like any player, when we do this job we want to reach the very highest level.”

Clearly, he’d be welcomed by fans but he has a job at Nice and will want to excel there first.
