Everton will be ‘right up there’ at the end of the season according to Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend, speaking to talksport.

The Toffees have started the season very well indeed and are the early pace-setters in the Premier League.

They’ve got quality up and down the pitch and a manager in Carlo Ancelotti that has seen and done it all before in this country and in several others.

Indeed, they’re looking good and we’ll have a good idea of where they are this season in their next game which is at home to Liverpool.

With that in mind, then, Townsend has praise for the Toffees and though he said he doesn’t think they will win the league, he expects them to remain at the sharp end.

He said:

“They spend money every year but they seem to start very slowly and build as the year goes on, but they’ve got a world-class manager and he’s got his signings who seem to have hit the ground running.

“I think they’ll be right up there come the end of the season.”

If the Blues can beat Liverpool next weekend it will be an early statement for sure and the excitement will naturally build around Goodison Park.
