Several Rangers players have been away on international duty in the last week or so and Steven Gerrard will have been anxious to see them return without injury.

We’re set to see the games come thick and fast now as we look to rattle through a key part of the season and, of course, the small matter of the first Old Firm derby of the season is upon us this weekend.

For Rangers, it’s a chance to make an early mark against the defending champions Celtic and it looks as though several key players are returning to the Gers without issue at the moment.

As per Vital Rangers, there are no major issues to contend with right now.

Filip Helander returned early with a slight knock but shouldn’t be an issue whilst Borna Barisic also appears to have recovered from the injury he got against Ross County.

Steven Davis once again racked up the minutes for Northern Ireland – being the Duracell bunny that he is, whilst Glen Kamara did the same for Finland.

Ianis Hagi and Alfredo Morelos both started just the once for their respective nations whilst Ryan Jack earned game-time for Scotland to help build his match fitness after getting back for the Gers.

Decent enough news, then, ahead of the clash this weekend.
