Scotland will be without Ryan Christie, Stuart Armstrong and Kieran Tierney for their crucial game with Israel this week thanks to a positive test from Armstrong but Aston Villa fans will be relieved to hear John McGinn has been given the all-clear, as per Birmingham Live.

Tierney and Christie are also negative but they have been spending time with Armstrong in particular during the international break and they are having to go into hiding as a precaution.

Indeed, their 14-day period of quarantine could mean that they miss their respective games for Arsenal and Celtic when the domestic game gets back up and running but right now there is no such concern for McGinn and Villa.

The midfielder shone during the win over Liverpool and looks to be building a nice relationship already with Ross Barkley so Villans will be pleased that, as things stand, that isn’t going to be interrupted at this stage.
