Bellagraph Nova Group re-emerged in the Newcastle United takeover discussion last week but many Magpies, perhaps unsurprisingly, are taking the news with a pinch of salt.

United saw the hoped for takeoever of PIF effectively blocked earlier this year by the Premier League but hopes that that deal is not dead do remain and it appears that work is being done to try and iron out outstanding issues right now.

Indeed, as per the Everything is Black and White podcast – via Chronicle Live – journalist Mark Douglas confirmed that the bid from the Middle East still has potential to happen.

He said:

‘There remains only one game in town – the Saudi backed bid.’

That would appear to play down talk of Bellgraph getting involved with the club, as would it suggest other claimed interested parties are also not close, with the Saudis still potentially to get their way.

This saga, then, remains one to monitor right now despite nothing imminent.
