According to the printed Daily Mail, Tottenham are thinking of getting themselves a player plus cash deal together in a bid to try and sign Lucas Digne.

The Everton defender had a storming campaign last season for Everton with him proving a very shrewd signing from Barcelona.

Indeed, he certainly seems capable of playing in the Champions League on the regular and Spurs can offer that next season.

Of course, Everton will want to keep Digne as he is seen as the successor to Leighton Baines – something he has already shown this last few months.

And, clearly, Spurs are aware of that fact which is why they will apparently look to offer Danny Rose as a way of softening the blow.

Rose, of course, still has plenty to offer at left-back but perhaps isn’t at the level he was at a couple of seasons ago.

Will this tempt Everton? Only time will tell.
