The domestic game returns this weekend around Europe and one of the biggest games anywhere taking place comes in Scotland as Rangers and Celtic once again renew hostilities.
A game that transcends the sport in many ways, it’s once again a chance for one side to get the bragging rights over the other and get an early boost to their respective title challenge.
For Rangers, it’s a chance to cancel out the game in hand advantage Celtic currently have with a win and Steven Gerrard will be eager to see his men achieve exactly that.
With that in mind, he spoke to the press earlier on today and has been quoted by the Gers’ official Twitter account revealing that his squad is in pretty decent shape:
