Swansea City have made their first signing of the season, bringing in Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham on a season-long loan.

Abraham, 19, spent the 2016/17 campaign on loan at Bristol City, scoring 23 goals in 41 league appearances helping The Robins retain their Championship status. Current Swansea boss Paul Clement beat off stiff competition from Newcastle and Brighton to bring the talented striker to the Liberty Stadium, having previously worked with the England Under-21 international while at Chelsea. The arrival of Abraham raises further questions over the future of Swansea’s record signing Borja Bastón, who has struggled to settle following his £15.5m from Atlético Madrid.
