Everton were cruelly beaten right at the death against Brighton earlier on in today’s Premier League action as the Seagulls ran out 3-2 winners.

The Toffees came into the game on the back of a win over West Ham and were looking to build some momentum and ease the pressure further on Marco Silva.

However, a late goal has left them leaving the Sussex coast with nothing to show for their efforts and it seems as though they have an injury concern to now deal with, too, involving midfielder Bernard.

As per the Liverpool Echo, the player has been seen leaving the Amex Stadium on crutches this evening with him having to come off during the match with a knee complaint.

How bad the knock is remains to be seen as it is bound to swell over night and then scans will need to be conducted, so the Blues will have a wait on their hands now.
