West Bromwich Albion striker Karlan Grant is set to be missing for up to six weeks with a broken foot in a blow to new Albion boss Sam Allardyce.

The Baggies have taken a bit of a beating in the last couple of matches with heavy defeats recorded against both Leeds United and Arsenal, this coming after a heartening draw at Anfield against Liverpool.

Indeed, Allardyce will be eager to get things going once again and make his side hard to beat but, at the same time, they need goals and Grant, as an attacker, was obviously being looked at as one of the solutions for that – though all Albion players have struggled to find the net so far.

As per the Daily Mail, though, he is now set to be missing for around six weeks.

Rush Football’s take

The Baggies have taken a couple of steps back since their draw with Liverpool and will be looking to get back to better results once the league resumes after cup action this weekend.

They’re going to have to do that initially without Grant, though, and it’ll be up to the likes of Callum Robinson to help things along in front of goal.
