Said Benrahma is unlikely to play anything more than a cameo role for West Ham United at the weekend when they face Liverpool, as per a report from Claret and Hugh.

West Ham’s start to this season has been impressive with good wins over Wolves and Leicester City, as well as points against Spurs and, most recently, Manchester City.

They’ll be confident going to Anfield, then, as they look to get another decent result but Benrahma is likely going to have to bide his time in terms of getting involved in the first-team picture.

The report from the Hammers blog suggests that he is working himself up to speed after not really featuring for Brentford all that much before his transfer this season, whilst the Irons have a recent history of introducing players slowly under David Moyes with a similar approach taken with Jarrod Bowen.

The report suggests Michail Antonio’s hamstring scan and its result could provide the Algerian with more of an opening but, even then, others might come into the starting equation first.
