Speaking to the West Ham Way podcast, respected West Ham United source exWHUemployee has offered a concerning update on the health issue of Said Benrahma that caused problems with his medical on deadline day.

The Irons have enjoyed a decent start to this season and kept their recent unbeaten run going in the Premier League with a dramatic late draw against Spurs with Manuel Lanzini getting the late goal.

Many will be excited to see what Said Benrahma can bring to the side, then, but there was late drama with his signing with an issue with his medical meaning he’s now only on loan with an obligation to buy at the end of this season.

And, according to exWHUemployee, it’s a pretty serious one that could put things in jeopardy.

He said:

“We struck a loan deal with an obligation to buy. Unless this situation with the blood develops into something serious, we have to sign him. That’s the only thing that stops this transfer going through. I do know it, but I cant say. It’s a personal thing, very sensitive. It could be very serious.”

Benrahma is a good player and one that will be exciting to watch but what this issue is is a mystery.

Evidently, though, it’s serious enough.
