According to Il Messagero via Sport Witness, West Ham are interested in signing Edin Dzeko from Roma in the summer window.
Dzeko has had a fine career and won multiple titles with Manchester City but never seemed to be their main striker thanks to the sublime Sergio Aguero.
He has been a good forward for many years now, though, and it could well be the case that he gets another shot at Premier League football next season.
The Hammers could do with a new forward coming into the club as there is great uncertainty about a number of their current options.
Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic’s futures are far from certain whilst Andy Carroll for example just seems not reliable enough to feature every week.
Dzeko could get the chance to lead the line regularly in the English game, then, and West Ham would surely benefit from his experience and class in the final third.
