Aaron Cresswell has issued praise for West Ham United team-mate Manuel Lanzini, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Hammers came back from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 with Tottenham in the last ten minutes of their game in the Premier League and it was Lanzini’s goal that earned them the point.
Indeed, it was a fabulous hit that swerved away from Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and now the plan will be to keep building after good wins over Wolves and Leicester City in recent matches.
Lanzini will be hoping to kick on, too, and Cresswell has backed him after a tough period, partially due to injury, saying that the attacking midfielder has perhaps not been at his very best this season so far.
“Manu has got that quality. Obviously, he had a bad injury a couple of years ago and this season probably hasn’t gone the way he wanted so far. He’s stuck at it and I couldn’t be more proud of him.”
Lanzini is a quality player and one West Ham will feel can produce more of what he did on Sunday through this season.
Let’s see if he kicks on now.
