We’re big FA Cup fans here at Rush Football and with the 4th round upon us this weekend, we thought we’d take a look at potential cup shocks…
With that in mind, here are four games that could provide upsets, apologies in advance if we’ve just jinxed your side…
Peterborough v Leicester
Peterborough play some great attacking football and are more than capable of scoring goals with Jack Marriott firing them in for fun for Posh this season.
Leicester City have improved under Claude Puel and don’t have a relegation battle to worry about suggesting that they should go for this competition.
They’ll be looking to open it up then and so we should be in for a game that could go either way, especially as it is at the League One side’s ground.
MK Dons v Coventry
MK Dons are struggling in League One and have recently changed manager so they could do without facing a strong Coventry side.
The Sky Blues do not concede many and will be confident of continuing their cup run after they beat Stoke in the previous round.
A famous name in the competition, the men from the Midlands could be on for a 5th round place.
Wigan v West Ham
West Ham are just one of the many sides battling relegation in the Premier League at the moment.
And, with big games mid-week in the Premier League, David Moyes might just be forced to rotate a side that has struggled with injuries of late.
He’ll do his best to get a performance out of those that do play but he might not be bothered if they go out against a Wigan side that is flying in League One.
Notts County v Swansea
This might seem a little bit harder to believe than when the Swans were managed by Paul Clement.
They’ve turned a corner under Carlos Carvalhal, that’s for sure, but with games mid-week, as we’ve mentioned, does he now rotate his side?
If he does there’s a chance for Notts County to get a famous win in front of their own fans as part of a season that, so far, has gone along very nicely for them.
